TT's part dog, part cat, part monkey, part magpie, part goat!

The joys of owning a TT......

Have just spent about 35 mins standing under the chestnut tree with arms wide open, hoping a certain little man who will be 11 months old tomorrow, doesn't lose his footing!
He watched the geese fly over the garden and then shot up the tree to see them land on the water and enjoyed the view so much , he went higher!
I knew it wouldn't be too long before he discovered that tree and would start climbing it.
He eventually came down low enough so that I could grab him, little bugger.
Can you imagine how embarrassing it could have been calling the fire brigade because my dog is up a tree!

The First Posts From Facebook - 18th December 2014

After Daddy playtime this morning Mummy gave me a treat for not chasing the cats. This is my friend Fluffy and me having treats. After that I played fetch with Mummy and then I played in the cat tunnel which is now my tunnel coz the cats think they are too grown up to play in it. Now I am in a chewy mood so I am going to chew my nice red toy that Mummy Karla gave me *Happy puppy*

Hey Mum, I found it!!!!!

I have decided that I own one of the settee cushions. Daddy thought he could put it behind his back, but now he knows it's mine. I tugged and tugged and barked at him lots and then he gave it to me and said he'll buy a new one for him. He doesn't know it, but if I like the new one more , that will be mine and he can have this one back. Besides this one has a hole in it now.

Yay! I can climb the stairs! :)
Daddy says it's time to get a second stairgate :(

The First Posts From Facebook - 16th December 2014

These are some pictures from my first day here. When I got here there was a box with lots of toys waiting for me. The highlight of my first night was getting my own back at Daddies tools which he had taken out of his van. They were in my way so I barked at them to move, but they wouldn't, so I pooped on them. Mummy and Daddy got the giggles at me and then the tools moved back to the van. Mummy says if things are in the way again I really shouldn't poop on them, but she was laughing when she said it so maybe she didn't mean it. We'll see.

I have two beds! I thought I would have one, but I have two! Daddy went out on Sunday and bought me another bed. He said the new one will stay upstairs in their room so the cats don't steal it. I like that idea. I have a teddy and a bird toy in my upstairs bed, they are my favourites at the moment. Mummy put her top that she wore when she came to get me in my downstairs bed coz it's snuggly and she thought it would be nice for me. It is snuggly and I might not give it back to her now.
This is me with my teddy and bird before they went to my new bed.

I didn't tell you why I am called Biggi Small did I?
Daddy called me it. He says it's my gangsta name, whatever that is, because I am Biggles and I was the smallest pup. Daddy also said that I will be the cutest puppy on the internet and I believe him, don't you?

On Monday I found the washing machine, it kept me busy for quite a while, it was like tv, only round!
Also Mummy lost me and started to panic, silly lady, she didn't know I had gone exploring in the settee!
Oh and Daddy went 'to work' so I tried to eat one of his socks, that will show him!

Today Daddy woke up early and played and cuddled and kissed me lots before he went to work. I don't think he wanted me to get any more socks.
Mummy took me into the garden to watch the geese flying over the garden to land in the reservoir out the back . I was very brave and didn't mind the noise. I was having lots fun running around the garden until we heard what sounded like the hunt nearby, so we came in before the horses and hounds got too close.Mummy said she will take me to meet the horses when I am a bit bigger. She said the hounds live up the hill, but I don't think I'm allowed to play with them. I think they are too busy or something. I've also been trying to play with the cats, but they don't think much of me grabbing their tails. They shouldn't taunt me with them then :)

Hello World!

Hello all !
Welcome to our blog :)
We are Biggles and Bertie and we are Tibetan Terriers, also known as Dokhi Apso and Tsang Apso.
Here is a little bit about our breed, quoted from Wiki, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tibetan_Terrier ) ....

The Tibetan Terrier is a medium-size breed of dog originated in Tibet.[1] Despite its name, it is not a member of the terrier group. The breed acquired its name from European travelers who first encountered the breed due to its resemblance to terriers.[2] The Tibetan name for the breed, Tsang Apso, roughly translates to "shaggy or bearded (apso) dog, from the province of Tsang". Some old travelers' accounts give the name Dokhi Apso or "outdoor" Apso, indicating a working dog which lives outdoors.
History of Tibetan Terrier dates back to thousands of years.[3][4] Bred and raised in monasteries by lamas, Tibetan Terriers were kept as good luck charms, mascots, watchdogs, and companions. In addition to herding sheep, they were also used to retrieve articles that fell below mountain sides.[5]
Known as the "Holy Dogs of Tibet", they were never sold but only given as gifts by monks to promote good fortune. As such, the early history of the breed is linked to only a handful of foundation dogs. Recent DNA analysis has concluded that the Tibetan Terrier is descended from the most ancient dog breeds.[6]

We have a facebook page that was started in December when it was just Biggles page and shall be starting this blog by reposting from there so as to get this one complete.

See you soon!
